To have and to hold,
The waves crashed against the seawall on the 17th of July, the clouds were overcast, the air warm. When I arrived to Narragansett Beach that day, it had totally slipped my mind to check the tides. Eingel and Jose arrived with some of their loved ones after tying the knot in a private ceremony in North Kingstown. They both showed up smiling from ear to ear, wearing all white, hearts full of love and excitement for their future together. The initial plan for our session was to take some portraits on the beach maybe getting our feet wet in the process, but mother nature had other plans for us, she said "ya'll are getting WET today! " Eingel and Jose handled this with such grace and said, "Let's do this!" I'm really grateful that I was able to share this moment with them because I learned so much from that moment as a new photographer. Yes we could have relocated our session to somewhere, well, dry. But, what I learned in that moment is that sometimes things don't always go according to plan, but that doesn't mean the outcome won't turn out beautiful. The portraits that I am about to share with you will speak for themselves. It will speak for the love I was able to feel radiating from Eingel and Jose for one another, and it was able to speak for the beauty in accepting things for what they are.
